Hugs Teacher, Gets Suspended

A student got suspended on December 3^rd for a whole year for just hugging a teacher. The school board claims that the kid was breaking sexual assault conduct for school. He is a senior and a football player. Because the student got suspended, his shot at scholarships was eliminated putting his college education in jeopardy. The students name is Sam McNair. The teacher also accused him of kissing her on the neck and cheek during the hug. McNair pleads innocent to the accused harassment.  The school board and other people are still trying to figure things out and also figure out punishment for him. They are still not giving out full information. 

Women in Cuffs

On Tuesday police officers were called to a Wal-Mart in Atlanta. There was reported card fraud from the employers by a couple of people. When the police get there they arrested a couple of people. They arrested this girl named Jenny Clementi, after they put her in the back of a cop car the cop left to go figure more things out and to talk to the employers. Keep in mind that she was handcuffed behind her back and in the back seat with the doors locked. She somehow got her arms in front of her with the handcuffs still attached to her. She opened the little glass door that separates the front from the back and squeezed through it and took off.  She headed down a highway and then crashed into another car and then took off into the woods. Her where about are still unknown.

Deans Hole Death

Four days ago there was a very sad accident that happened in Long Island, Bahamas. For many years free divers have been trying to break the record for the furthest down someone could swim in the famous deans blue hole. It is the deepest underwater sinkhole in the world. The depth is 663 feet. This 32 year old man was in a competition for the deepest swim to win $20,000. At 236 feet he lost control of his body and mind set and he became unconscious.  They are still unsure what exactly happened with his body causing him to die. They think that it was lung related and his lungs burst and filled with blood causing him to drown.

Nuts

    There has been a study that was finally proven after many years of trying to figure out if nuts actually make people live longer. The woman’s hospital and Harvard medical school did research on nut consumption. They asked about 70,000 woman and 40,000 men how much nuts they consumed and then study and compared the deaths over the years to people who didn't eat nuts to the ones who did eat nuts. They found that more people die or get some sort of disease that are non nut eaters. The main reason this is true is because nuts have proteins and vitamins people need to stay healthy. 

Transgender Student

Recently there was a dispute at a school in La Faeira, Texas. There is this transgender kid that the school said they will not put the picture of “him” in the year book because he is wearing a tux but he is really a girl, they say it’s against community standards. They said they will only put his picture in if he is wearing a blouse or girl clothes. His mother is very frustrated about this whole thing. They are going to fight this as hard as they can to get his picture into the yearbook. He just wants to be remembered by his fellow students when they look back at the year back many of years later.

Casual Sex

       Recently there was a study about people having casual sex partners. The study showed that women with casual sex partners are less likely to climax than if they were in an intimate relationship. Opposed to men which have an equal amount of climax/orgasm whether or not it is just a hook up or if in a relationship. There study was gathered by asking 600 college students a scale from 1-5 when with 1 being the most traditional way or 5 being the most liberal. Men are more open to a liberal way of being with a woman. Women are more for the traditional way because they feel like they need to be connected to the partner for sex.

13 Year Old Girl Dies

       During this past weekend there was a very sad tragedy in a small town called Osceola, Wisconsin.  A 13 year old girl died on Sunday in the hospital after experiencing something she thought would never happen while attending a snowmobile safety class on Saturday. This class was taught by volunteers from the snowmobile club. Police and other DNR members were unsure why the snowmobile accelerated and crashed into a loading dock.  Previously upon this accident there were 42 other people that used this snowmobile and everything seemed to be fine. This little girl was air lifted to a hospital after this accident but later died the next day.

Firefighters Save Puppies

On Tuesday October 22 there was a house fire that took place in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Fire fighters were called to put out a house fire. This house fire started to because of a small fire that got out of hand in the kitchen. As these fire fighters were putting out the fire they found two small puppies that were trapped in the house. These puppies were unconscious and unresponsive. The puppies were taken outside and were treated to help them regain consciousness. The firefighters gave the puppies CPR. The puppies finally came out of their daze and were happy puppies and they were running around. The crowd cheered with joy.

Restroom Restaurant

On October 11^th a brand new style restaurant was opened to the public in LA. This themed restaurant is based around restroom features. At first people were shocked at the decorating choices but decided to give it a try.  All of their dishes and seats are toilets. The food is based around human bodily functions. For one to look at this menu and still have an appetite would be hard. The names of the food choices are not pleasing for you to want to eat. For example; Golden poop rice, black poop (which is a chocolate Sunday) are a couple different food choices on the menu.  Despite its theme it made a hit with locals and serves top notch food.

Yucky Nuggets

      What is really in chicken nuggets? What fast food places put in their chicken nuggets is not what we think is actually in them. Scientist took a closer look at two fast food restaurants chicken nuggets.  They found that in one of them is made up of 50% muscle tissue. The rest is made up from fat, blood vessels, nerves and internal organs of the chicken.  The second nugget is made up from 40% muscle. The rest of the nugget is made up of fat, cartilage and bone.  The scientists will not give out information about where they got the chicken from. The reason why this is bad is because chicken nuggets are drawn to children, mostly because they are tasty and cheap. People should not always trust what they are eating.

5 Hikers Killed In Colorado

     Just yesterday there was a fatal accident on Agnes Vaille falls in Nathrop, Colorado. Huge boulders slide down the mountain killing five hikers.  They are not able to retrieve the bodies yet because it is still dangerous because boulders are still shifting. There is a 13 year old girl who broke her leg during this and she got flight for life to a children’s hospital in Colorado but n. People are trying to figure out why this occurred. Most people think it is because of all the rain they got this summer and the sudden snow fall the occurred the other week.  They are still studying what happened. 

NASA Test

      Will this be easy or will this be hard? NASA is paying volunteers $18k to lie in bed for 70 days. While you are on bed rest you are not a loud to get up for any reason.  They are running two different tests. One is you have to lie in bed at a six degree downward angel. The other test has to do different kinds of aerobics while in bed. They are going to have certain things to bath them and let them go to the bathroom while still lying in the bed. Some may think this is easy to lie in bed and not do anything but there are side affects to this. You would lose muscle and your bone density would start to deteriorate. It would take a little bit of time after this time for you to regain your muscle back. They are doing this test to see how they could make the astronauts time better in space so that they are comfortable.

Words Do Matter

       When will people realize the difference between right and wrong? A few days ago a 12 year old girl from Florida ended her life. She couldn't handle the bullying any longer. After many months of online terrorizing from several girls she gave up standing up for herself. All of this bullying began because of something that is not that important. The 15 girls that were bulling her gave her grief because of boyfriend issues. She finally had enough and police officers found her at an abandon power plant, they say she climbed to the top of one of the towers and jumped over the side coming to a tragic death. They later found her diary with heartbreaking entry’s about how depressed she was. Her funeral was held today. Most of the people there wore green anti-bully shirts in her honor. Parents  need to start paying attention to what their kids are doing.

E-Cigs

           E-Cigarettes are the new device now days. E-cigarettes are supposed to be a way for smokers to stop smoking less. There is no flame or fire involved it this battery powered device. The smoke that comes out of it is vapor. Using the E-Cig without nicotine really helps people stop smoking because they still get the feeling of smoking but it is not addictive. These are also easier for people to get their hands on without going through so much time and trouble. An example would be getting the nicotine patch you have to go to the doctors or pharmacy. These E-Cigs are sold in gas stations and convenient stores. The scientists and professors still have more research to do because they are unsure on the harm and effects it can do to your body. The E-Cig is not a very good thing for the reason that reports show that E-Cigs are becoming more popular to teens because it is not as harmful to you.  I think this device has its advantages and disadvantages.

Molly?

         Molly is the 'new drug' in our era. It was first heard of in songs sung by rappers. Those who sang about this drug made it sound like a fun thing to do and then it started too spared across the nation as teens were starting to try it. Then a song came out and it was called Molly.  This drug is really dangerous and harmful to the body. A lot of people started to take this drug at raves or big concerts because it would enhance their experience. It’s also really dangerous to take this drug because in most cases it’s not pure Molly, it could be mixed with difference substances which makes it a sketchy drug to be taking. The police don’t really know how to stop this because they don’t know how to tell if someone is on it. Doctors and professors only hope to making this drug use come to a minimum is to hope teens read about the side effects and the harmful state this drug puts your body in.
